I’ll be frank—this is probably my least favorite part of the whole novel-writing business (because yes, I’m a weenie when it comes to what others think). Sending one’s novel manuscript to several authors (some well known) and requesting an endorsement for promotional purposes is an intimidating process.
“What is a novel endorsement?” someone may ask. Frankly, it’s simply something nice someone has said about your book. Publishers often use these blurbs inside the front cover or even on the back cover. Nope, I didn’t pay or bribe anyone for these, and I gave each author an easy exit if he or she decided, for whatever reason, not to endorse the book. No one bowed out of the process.
Endorsements give the project credibility, and apparently readers are more open to try a book by an author they are unfamiliar with if they see that several established authors say nice things about it.
So without further ado, what follows are the endorsements for my next novel, The Tenth Plague, due for release on January 15, 2013. I wish to convey a special thanks to the many authors who sacrificed of their time, read my manuscript, and offered their kinds words. I have included links to the authors’ websites and books if you’d like to check them out. (Some of these are affiliate links, meaning that I make money if you purchase a product using them.)

“An almost-forgotten mine disaster, a misguided conference on Bible translation, a twisted take on the book of Revelation, a botched ATF-FBI operation, a gifted autistic child—Adam Blumer has woven these strands and more into a page-turning tapestry of a mystery. You won’t want to lay this one aside till the author has tied up all the loose ends.”
—Richard C. Leonard, author of Heart of the Highriders and Silence of the Drums
“A chilling tale that keeps readers turning pages and pondering its truths. The Tenth Plague is a solid entry in Adam Blumer’s bibliography, and fans of thrillers with spiritual depth will find much to enjoy.”
